چکیده

We studied resistivity, magnetoresistivity, and Hall resistivity for a few percolating granular NiFe-SiO2 films upon thermal annealing. It was found that both the resistivity and the Hall resistivity decrease by two orders of magnitude upon annealing at 520 °C, accompanied by a crossover from an approximately 2lnT dependence of resistivity to a metallic behavior. On the other hand, transmission electron microscopy study showed that this pattern of resistivity and Hall resistivity change is not due to any new phases, but is associated with changes in particle size distribution. These results cannot be understood in the existing theoretical framework. @S0163-1829~96!06621-0#

Effect of Joule-Heating Annealing on Giant Magnetoimpedance of Co64Fe4Ni2B19-xSi8Cr3Alx (x = 0, 1 and 2) Melt-Spun Ribbons

In this work, we have studied the influence of dc joule-heating thermal processing on the structure, magnetoimpedance (MI) and thermal properties of Co64Fe4Ni2B19-xSi8Cr3Alx (x = 0, 1, and 2) rapidly solidified melt-spun ribbons. The nanocrystallization process was carried out by the current annealing of as-spun samples at various current densities. As-spun and joule-heated samples were studied...

Gamma Irradiation Effect on Asymmetric Giant Magnetoimpedance of Co68.15Fe4.35Si12.5B15 Amorphous Alloy

The giant magneto impedance (GMI) effect is a large variation in the electrical impedance of a magnetic conductor when subjected to a static magnetic field. The sensitivity to the direction (AGMI) and magnitude of applied  magnetic field    and also linearity levels   of this  effect are three important parameters in magnetic sensors application. A suitable annealing procedure can be used to ac...

Anisotropic- Magnetoresistance Integrated Sensors

In this paper. a short overview is presented of the most widely used types of solid state magnetic sensor. These sensors are applied in many areas, such as the measurement of magnetic fields and in compasses, angle/position sensors and current sensing. Hall effect, AMR (Anisotropic Magnetorestance-effect) and GMR (Giant Magnetoresistance-effect) sensors are the most frequently used. In spite of...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cold Rolled AISI 304L and 316L Austenitic Stainless Steels during Reversion Annealing

Microstructural evolutions during annealing of cold rolled AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steels were studied. Cold rolled AISI 304L alloy was fully martensitic but cold rolled AISI 316L alloy was partially martensitic due to the higher stability of the austenite phase in the latter. During continuous heating to elevated temperatures, the complete reversion of strain-induced martensite at 75...

Correlation between MI Effect and Transverse Anisotropy in Stress-Annealed Nanocrystalline Alloys: A Mössbauer Effect Study

In order to understand the correlation between the large and sensitive magneto-impedance (MI) effect in the tensile stress-annealed Fe-based nanocrystalline alloy Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 and the transverse magnetic anisotropy on a microscopic scale, a Mössbauer effect study has been carried out. A series of ribbon samples were subject to thermal annealing with tensile stress s up to 60 MPa. MI mea...
